Thoughts on the Prayers of John Knox
In response to Knox's prayers, Mary Queen of Scots is reputed to
have said: "I fear the prayers of
John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe."
What causes the Queen of England to be aware of John Knox's prayers
so much that she would fear his prayers?

Acts 19
13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them
to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus,
saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the
priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul
I know; but who are ye?
The demons knew who Jesus was and they knew who Paul was but they
did not know who these Jews were.

Where does one obtain the power of interceding prayer to effect
nations?
THE CASE OF DANIEL 10>>>>>>>>>>>
The power of standing before the throne is certainly exemplified
by Moses when he stood before God in intercession for Israel when
God wanted to completely destroy them and make new nation under
Moses.
The time when God was going to destroy the
nation of Nineveh:
Jonah 3
4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he
cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast,
and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least
of them.
6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his
throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth,
and sat in ashes.
7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh
by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man
nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor
drink water:
8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily
unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from
the violence that is in their hands.
9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his
fierce anger, that we perish not?
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way;
and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do
unto them; and he did it not.

not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of
the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according
to the will of God.

ANOTHER LEVEL
As in the case of Daniel 10 I am convinced there are obstacles
that prevent the child of God from breaking through and receiving
the answer to prayers.
Could it be??? I'm just asking the question, Could it be that not
only are there demonic spirits standing in the way of the answer
to our personal prayers there are demonic forces that stand in the
way of cities and nations from receiving the breakthrough that is
necessary to reach these nations for.
I believe that not only is the supernatural world organized for
good the supernatural world is organized for evil. There are strong
demonic spirits that control areas of the world, cities, families.
That is why it is imperative for the church to prevail in prayer.
It is not a question of, "will you pray?" but rather the
question is a statement, "when we pray!"
